How Rawk works.
Pair your physical Rawk, choose supported apps, and tap the onscreen rock to focus. Scan your paired rock when you want access back.

Set up your Rawk
- Use an iPhone running iOS 18 or later with the Rawk app installed. Check compatibility before buying.
- Open Rawk and tap Pair your Rawk. Hold the top of your iPhone near your encoded physical rock while the scanner is open.
- Allow Apple Screen Time access. Choose at least one and up to 50 supported distracting apps from the catalog. Leave daily essentials unselected.
- Finish setup. Your paired rock becomes the physical way to end a scan-ended session.
Start a focus session
Tap the onscreen Rawk to start. The default duration is Until Rawk scanned; you can select a timed session instead. Selected apps are hidden and restricted during focus. This does not uninstall them or delete their contents.
The selection is locked during an active session. Maps, messages and other tools you leave unselected remain available through Rawk.
Restore access
In the app, tap End to open the foreground scanner, then scan your paired physical Rawk. For a timed session, access also returns when the deadline ends. Keep your paired rock somewhere you can safely reach.
If you lose the rock, a scan fails, or you need access urgently, use Emergency reset. App support covers scanning, reset and App Library troubleshooting.
Common questions
Do I scan the rock to start focus?
Start a session by tapping the onscreen Rawk in the app. The physical Rawk is used for pairing and for ending a scan-ended session. After pairing and setup, opening a matching Rawk tag link can also start focus. A link alone never ends an active session.
Can I end a session without the rock?
A selected timed session restores access at its deadline. For an emergency, open Rawk Settings and hold Emergency reset for three seconds. This restores access and removes pairing while keeping your chosen apps. Individual Screen Time authorization can also be revoked in iOS Settings.
Will my apps return to the same Home Screen positions?
Original icon positions are not guaranteed. iOS may return restored apps to App Library. Find the app there and add it back to your Home Screen if needed.
